This one was a great find with a sound that is very close to the dark techno of Daft Punk combined with the voice of Kate Bush. Take a listen to Veiga Sanchez’s slick electronica in ‘Somebody’.

When I stumbled across Syron I couldn’t believe I hadn’t realised she did guest vocals on Rudimental’s ‘Spoons’ with MNEK. This one is a real talented fire-ball to keep your eye on for 2014. Her crystal clear vocals layer perfectly over house-electronica tracks and she is reaching the heights of singer-vocalists like Ella Eyre. Plus she’s signed to the same record label as Rudimental, MNEK and all the others who’ve taken the music industry by storm with their house infusions. This girl is definitely a new obsession. Take a listen to a remix of single ‘Colour Me In’.

Went a little more with my inner  punk rocker when I came across this band. The chorus in their latest single ‘The Fall’ in full of angsty, shredding guitars and ripping vocals. No wonder the likes of Kerrang! are digging these guys.

Peace out!
