June Outfit Highlights

It’s been a while I know! But heres a little update of things I’ve been buying and wearing in June.

Been to Barcelona for half of it to visit my boyfriend and go to Sonar Festival which was a lot of fun and gave me a chance to put some fun outfits together!

Obsessed with cleated platform shoes I went and bought 3 pairs on eBay! So cheap!

H&M White Dress – bargain in the sale and fun to contract girly and gothy inspired pieces to create a fun look!

Black Milk Burned Velvet Leggings – Been after these for months! Their beautiful and go perfectly with my new white platforms!

Black Milk Rhaegol Dragon Leggings – After getting addicted to Game of Thrones and a irrational love of dragons these are perfect! Paired with chunky platforms, Burned velvet top from Primark & Forever 21 Biker Gilet.

Black Milk Cathedral Skirt – Perfect as its so gothic.

Black Milk Mechanical Mermaid Leggings – these make it into every post because i wear them all the time – they are my favourite piece and are perfect in hot weather as their white! Look great paired with this tassel kimo from New Look!

Black Milk Cathedral Skirt – Frst of my outfits for a meal out in Barcelona paired with New Look tassel Kimono, Custom mesh tank crop layered over a Forever 21 bralet.

This is my favourite outfit for June and was a hit with the Bershka scouts at Sonar. High Waisted White Distressed Shorts are Primark (I KNOW!),  paired with New Look Tassel Kimono, DIY Bra Harness, Custom mesh tank crop and Forever 21 Bralet.

Custom Luffers Red Pyramifds skirt – Perfect for Sonar by Night to dance the night away – Paired with a DIY mesh halter neck crop and of course the tassel kimono – the tassels added so much rama to ever look which I love!

Back from Barcelona and back to work so a casual look with a Primark Tee and H&M khaki skinnies and tassel bag. I love these jeans as they make me feel like Lara Croft and go on a big expedition.

Flatlay of the Black Milk Leggings and a Cage Bikini Top I got from eBay as well. I couldn’t bring myself to pay so much for the Dollz Kill version as this only cost a tenner!

Black Milk Cross of St Peters Skirt – Another favourite piece paired with a simple top, fish net tights and the trusty tassel kimono from New Look.

Peace out.

2014: Get Fit Plan

So another thing I’ve been working on as I saw 2013 out and 2014 in was getting more involved with exercise and keeping fit. Me and my girlfriends have been doing pretty well with keeping up with Zumba fitness classes every week, but it isn’t hard as it’s so much fun! Getting fit, toning those all important muscles and dancing too some great tracks is hard to resist!

But as 2014 begun I decided it was time to treat myself to some new sports gear and clothing as why not look good whilst you work out too! So off I went and it didn’t cost me much at all as most of it was from Primark or in the H&M sale!

This is what I think are the essential basic things you need to start on your get fit plan 🙂

Nike Water Bottle: £4.99 (Sports Direct)

Gym towel: £2.50 (Primark)

Kirby Grips: £1.00 (Primark)

Hair bands: £1.50 (H&M)

Nike Backpack: £15 (Sports Direct)

Sports Bra: £12.99 (H&M)

Sports Tank Top: £7 (H&M Sale)

Fitness Legging: £12.99 (H&M)

Sports Socks: £3.00 (Primark Pack of 3)

Nike Trainers: Pre-owned

All this stuff actually makes you feel so much more confident when your working out as the fit is so good! I love the pattern on the pants and the crossover back on the top and bra. H&M’s new sports campaign collection is beyond amazing with its affordable price and great designs. Everything uses material that’s stretch with quick dry technology. Their newer designs have also been made in partnership with the Swedish Olympic team running up to the winter olympics so you know its going to do its job properly!

The other bits and bobs from Primark and Sports Direct can really be purchased in loads of places but Primark have also just got in a huge sportswear section and its hard not to fall for the cheap prices! Excuse the trainers though, they have been with me since I was a sports freak at school! They’re starting to fall apart though so a new pair of trainers will be needed soon!

I hope this has inspired you to go get active as that’s what everyone seems to be obsessing about at the moment, but in all honesty its such a good stress reliever and makes you feel so much healthier!

One last thing I’d like to mention, I’m not promoting this as a weight loss thing as with being the skinny stick I am I don’t need too as well as also wishing I had the curves some of you girls have! This is purely to inspire people to get active and fit and have fun and feel stylish at the same time! And there is nothing wrong with that as everyone should feel good about themselves!

Peace out!

Sam 🙂 x

January Style Storm

So I’ve been getting a lot of new clothes lately with Christmas and the sales that followed. So I thought it was about time I did some flat lays to start getting some ideas together for future outfits and hopefully inspire you as well!

New clothes are always the perfect way to get me in a creative mood so I hope you like the looks I’ve put together! I’d love to know your thoughts too!

1. Tartan Rules

I LOVE tartan and I’ve been after the perfect item of clothing for ages! This skirt is gorgeous and it’s actually all thanks to my mother and her incredible dress making skills! The inspiration came from a skirt I saw on Nasty Gal but as shipping and price was a little too much my mum did me a huge favour as the fabric cost very little on Ebay!

THe skirt’s split gives it an amazing rock chick vibe as I would pair this outfit with fish net tights. The crop top is from a brand called Mink Pink which you can find in places like Urban Outfitters or ASOS. My friend actually got me this as a secret santa and it is to die for! It combines all my favourite trends; mesh, velvet and studs, and it goes with practically everything!

In terms of accessories I felt this outfit didn’t need a lot so I just added a simple spike choker, bracelet and clutch. With loosing my Jeffery Campbell virginity last week I couldn’t help pairing my Mulder Platform Boots with this to really finish it off.

2. Tye Dye Midi Madness

I don’t think I anticipated how amazing this midi skirt would be when I bought it from Missguided for a tenner! It’s great to have a skirt that makes a day outfit far more interesting even when you can’t be bothered as its so comfy. That’s why I put a day and night outfit option for this one just to demonstrate that it goes with a lot of stuff!

The night flat lay is paired with a cute white crop top I bought from New Look last year, a cute lace Topshop bralet, an amazing real leather biker jacket from River Island I got for £25 from a very generous Ebayer (I feel a pattern following here haha), one of my favourite day/night bags from Primark (I love the tassel and stud detailing! More rock chick edge! :D) and of course some Primark spike jewellery and my Jeffery Campbell’s.

The day outfit could easily go with the biker as well over the top of this sweet H&M jumper I sniped in the sale. It has great ladder detailing down the side so I got it in white as well. The spike necklace and fringe bag go so well with this too and to keep it casual I’ve put some platform H&M boots with a low heel to finish the look off.

I think I’ll be over-wearing this skirt big time winter and summer!

So there you go just three looks for this post but I really enjoy putting flat-lays together as it’s a great way to get you thinking about what does and doesn’t work together. So expect lots more soon!

I’d love to hear any of your thoughts!

Peace out!

Sam 🙂

Mechanical Mermaing Legging – Black Milk

Top – H&M

Strap Crop Top (worn under top) – Missguided

Biker Jacket, Boots & Fedora – H&M

Waterfall Cardigan – Forever 21

Cross Necklace – Old Topshop

Scarf – Old Primark

I thought I’d show how these leggings can be styled up to keep you warm with layers as well as without. I am in love with these leggings. I’ve loved all of Black Milk designs for a long time but could never afford a pair of their wicked leggings but all my friends from home put their money together to get me these for my birthday a few weeks ago. There so versatile, are made with great fabric and are great now its got a lot colder here in the UK! They are a great day to night piece too and go with anything! The Forever 21 cardigan is one of my favorite pieces as well mainly because of the detail at the back – its so sick! Plus I love layering rather than wearing thick jumpers as I get too warm and like to be able to strip off a little by the time I get into work so it’s perfect for that! The waterfall detail looks great under the biker too! The fedora and scarf were an easy combination to put with this too and as you’ve probably noticed those H&M boots are in a lot of my posts, but they go with everything and make any outfit look a little bit cooler 😉

Peace Out!

Biker Jacket & top – H&M

Crop top – Missguided

Skirt – old Primark

DIY Spike Leather Belt – H&M

Hold ups – Ann Summers

Platform boot – Red or Dead

Just a quick one today! Again sorry for the little break as I started an internship in London this week so haven’t had much time to put things up. This look was incredibly unplanned so its pretty simple and laid back plus I wanted to try and style up these hold-ups I’ve had for a while.

Next post coming very soon!

Peace Out!
