January Playlist Week 1

Hello!

So this is my first playlist for the blog! This week’s a little mainstream if I’m honest! But that’s because there’s actually some decent stuff out at the moment! The other reason is some of them are the jams me and my girls listen to on nights out so they have a lot of memories attached to them 🙂

There are some random ones in there too but you’ll get used to my eclectic taste once a few of these go up. My problem is I get bored of things too easily and need lots of different things to keep me interested!

One last thing, forgive me for having Miley Cyrus in the mix. Listen to the song and you’ll realise why as it’s super catchy! It was produced by Pharrell though and I’ve loved all the tracks he’s been making lately as they all have a real 60s Motown vibe going on, and I can’t help dancing to a good classic beat.

I pretty much have a pattern in a lot of music I listen too and thats energy. If it has added feel good vibes or a kick in the ass bite I’ll fall in love with it. Hence a lot of house/electro also being on the list as well as some acid from Manchester belle Findlay (Trust me she’s amazing).

All the tracks are in a playlist on my Youtube channel! Aren’t I good to you!

Gorgon City ft MNEK – Ready For Your Love

Amazing house beats & in love with MNEK’s vocals.

Brother & Bones – To Be Alive

Love these guys. Amazing rhythm & riffs. Richard’s vocal explosion in the chorus is to die for.

Flux Pavilion – Freeway

An amazing change for Flux in his house sound. His new EP Freeway is ace.

Miley Cyrus – #GETITRIGHT

Love the cheeky tone of this one. Pharell’s production is brilliant. The backing tracks funky rhythm makes up for the shit & cringy bridge.

Storm Queen – Look Right Through

Amazing dance track. Me & the girls can’t help going mental when this comes on. Best is insanely infectious.

Katy Perry – Walking On Air

Some say it was crap. But I love the 80s dance vibes in this track. Always a good driving song.

Pharrell – Happy

Far to infectious not to like. Makes you get up and move your feet!

Findlay – Greasy Love

This rock chick is going places. This track is so gritty and raw it makes your eyes water.

Charli XCX – Superlove

Amazing girl this one. Her synth-pop is insanely good! This track just makes you fall in love all over again.

Foxes – Let Go for Tonight

Great voice & it matched the powerfully emotionally driving chorus in this new track. Can’t wait to hear more!

Have an amazing day!

Peace out!

Sam 🙂
